David Baverstock, winemaker at the Alentejo-based Herdade do Esporão Estate, hit New York on October 23rd. The dinner at Hearth in New York provided local trade and media a chance to sample new vintages of the Portuguese producer’s popular Verdelho and Reserve red, plus the debut of Assobio, a proprietary red blend from Quinta dos Murças, Esporão’s property in the Douro region.
