BEAM AND SKINNYGIRL ASSIST IN
STATEN ISLAND SANDY CLEAN-UP
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Bethenny
Frankel and volunteers from the Skinnygirl team
came to A Very Special Place on Staten Island to
help in recovery efforts. A Very Special Place, lo-
cated in New Dorp, Staten Island, is a non-profit
that helps the developmentally disabled. While
there, the Skinnygirl team presented a check for
$25,000 for further recovery efforts.

FIRST PAMALYMPICS RAISES FUNDS
FOR SANDY RELIEF
On November 27
th
, United States Bartenders
Guild of New York held the first-ever PAMAlympics,
sponsored by PAMA. Competitors Doug Miller,
Joshua Perez and James Menite faced off in three
rounds of cocktail competition in front of judges
and fans. Joshua Perez was awarded $5,000 for
being the top PAMAlympian. PAMA Pomegranate
Liqueur donated $1,260 to USBGNY’s Sandy re-
lief fund to aid affected bars.

SUPERSTORM SANDY VICTIMS
Martin Silver teamed up with New York State
Senator Malcolm Smith to provide 1,000 meals
of ‘Penne Alla Georgi’ to residents of Rockaway
Point and National Guard troops who were there
to protect and serve the community.
