PATRÓN SPIRITS
Patrón Spirits has promoted
John McDonnell
to the
newly created role of Presi-
dent, International. He will
keep his position as COO,
but now be based at Patrón’s
international headquarters
in Switzerland to be bet-
ter able to work with the
brand’s expanded presence
in international markets.
McDonnell has been with
the company since 2005
and is also currently Chair-
man of DISCUS.
BEAM INC.
Beam has recently added
two members to its team
of award-winning ambassa-
dors.
Kieran Folliard
is now
COO of 2 Gingers IrishWhis-
key (founded by Folliard and
recently acquired by Beam)
and Chief Ambassador of Kil-
beggan Distilling Company.
In his new role, Folliard will
travel throughout the country
promoting and driving growth
for Beam’s IrishWhiskey port-
folio. He is also taking an ac-
tive role in the development
of the experience between
the American customer base
and the Kilbeggan Distillery
and Visitor Center in Ireland.
Adam Harris
has been pro-
moted to the role of Bourbon
Ambassador, North America.
In this position, Harris will
travel throughout the U.S.
as ambassador for Beam’s
many bourbons, including
Jim Beam Black, Knob Creek,
Basil Hayden’s, Red Stag by
Jim Beam, Devil’s Cut and
Maker’s Mark. Most recently,
Harris served as Beam’s distill-
ery specialist in Austin, TX,
supporting the company’s su-
per-premium spirits portfolio.
Before that he was the Mak-
er’s Mark distillery diplomat
in Texas and New York.

Eric A. Kraus
to the newly created role of
SVP, Chief Communica-
tions and Corporate Affairs
Officer. He is responsible for
corporate communications,
external affairs and corporate
responsibility functions glob-
ally. In this role, Kraus leads
all facets of Bacardi internal
and external corporate com-
munications, governmental
and public affairs and cor-
porate responsibility pro-
grams in sustainability, social
responsibility and philan-
thropy. Most recently, Kraus
served as SVP of Corporate
Communications and Public
Affairs of Covidien PLC.

Deutsch Family Wine & Spir-
its announced the appoint-
ment of
Jim Schleifer
as the
new Division Vice President
reporting to Senior Vice Pres-
ident of Sales Tony Kalich.
Schleifer will be responsible
for sales management, dis-
tributor relations, and strate-
gic planning for New York,
New Jersey, and Pennsylva-
nia. He has spent the last two
years at the SPI Group North
America as the Senior Vice
President working for Stolich-
naya Vodka and Moskovs-
kaya Vodka; he implemented
on-premise strategies that
resulted in a growth of 44%
in targeted accounts and
successfully introduced five
products in 12 months. Prior
to his time at SPI, Schleifer
spent eight years at The Ab-
solut Spirits Company serving
as Vice President of Sales and
Vice President Trade Strategy.
In addition, he began his ca-
reer at Seagram and spent 23
years there working on brands
including Absolut Vodka and
Captain Morgan.
TEQUILA PARTIDA
Tequila Partida has promoted
Steve Lauth
, director of fi-
nance, to VP, Operations. In
this role, Lauth is responsible
for sales, finance, administra-
tion and all U.S. and Mexico
operations. He continues as
co-chair for Partida’s Opera-
tions Committee with Vini-
cio Estrada, President of Casa
Partida in Mexico. Steve
joined Tequila Partida in
2009 after working 12 years
with Scottish & Newcastle
Importers. He played an in-
strumental role in growing
Newcastle into the #1 im-
ported ale in the U.S., hold-
ing senior roles in finance
and operations and serving
as a member of the executive
management team and board
of directors.
