WINES OF PORTUGAL HOSTS
50 GREAT PORTUGUESE WINES EVENT
On January 24
th
, Wines of Portugal hosted an
event showcasing 50 Great Portuguese Wines
as selected by Doug Frost, MS, MW. The event
featured wines from several Portuguese wine-
making areas and a seminar on the Top 10 Best
Value wines.

ANCHOR DISTILLING HOSTS
FIRST-EVER NYC TASTING
On February 11
th
, San Francisco-based distiller and
importer Anchor Distilling Company held its first-
ever NYC portfolio tasting at Pouring Ribbons in the
East Village. The event showcased over 70 products
from Anchor’s diverse portfolio of craft spirits and
welcomed 100+ beverage journalists, mixologists
and buyers from the New York area. Anchor featured
new additions like Hophead Hop Vodka, Nikka Jap-
anese Whisky and Hine Cognac. Joaquin Simo and
the Pouring Ribbons team also created four original
cocktails featuring Anchor spirits for the event.

EVR UNVEILS LIFT MIXOLOGY BAR

EVR, a new experiential lounge in midtown Man-
hattan, recently launched its in-house LIFT Mix-
ology Bar, located on the mezzanine level. EVR
was created by impresarios Alex Likhtenstein and
Ian Magid, with a bar headed by mixologist Orson
Salicetti who crafted drinks inspired by Prohibition
and molecular mixology.
