ABL HONORS CRAIG WOLF
American Beverage Licensees (ABL)
has selected Craig Wolf, president and
CEO of the Wine & Spirits Wholesal-
ers of America (WSWA) as the 2013
ABL Top Shelf Award honoree. In ad-
dition to his work in the beverage alco-
hol industry, he is a Major in the Unit-
ed States Army Reserve and a veteran
of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The ABL Top Shelf Award an-
nually recognizes one member of the
beverage alcohol industry who has
not only made a powerful impact on
the industry, but also demonstrated
a positive influence on his or her
community. Wolf has been WSWA’s
President and CEO since 2006, where
he had previously held the position
of General Counsel for nearly seven
years. Since taking over as CEO,
WSWA has continued to grow as a
prominent trade association with an
active role in the public policy dis-
course in Washington. This year’s
award will be presented at the ABL
Annual Conference on June 10th,
2013 in Alexandria, VA.

SKYY INFUSIONS ADDS
WILD STRAWBERRY FLAVOR
Timed to hit the market for
Valentine’s Day, Wild Straw-
berry joined Skyy Infusion’s
existing line of innovative,
premium flavors, bringing
the total to 11. Smaller and
sweeter than their grocery-
aisle cousin, wild strawberries deliver
a stronger flavor and a more aromatic
bouquet. The flavor profile is rounded
out with hints of tropical vanilla and
white chocolate.
“Fresh strawberry is one of the-
most popular cocktail flavors in the
U.S.,” said Jason Daniel, brand di-
rector for Skyy Vodka. “We have
captured the true essence of the
fruit, allowing fans to experience
that delicious flavor without a
blender or heavy juices.” Skyy Vod-
ka was introduced in 1992. With the
development of Skyy Infusions, first
released in 2008, Campari America
has appealed to the consumer trend
toward natural, infused products.
Skyy Infusions Wild Strawberry
is available in 50ml (SRP $1.99),
750ml ($18.49), 1L ($23.49) and
1.75L ($26.99). The launch will be
supported by a fully integrated mar-
keting campaign featuring advertis-
ing, social media, and on-/off-prem-
ise sampling promotions.

The Caribbean Journal recently con-
cluded an exhaustive, 12-month
competition to name their Rum of
The Year. They tasted 50 rums from
the U.S., the Caribbean, Central and
South America before narrowing the
field to three and then to “one clear
winner.” Malcolm Gosling, the sev-
enth generation of the Gosling’s fami-
ly, was ecstatic though not entirely sur-
prised: “We’ve known all along what
a rare, unique product our Family
Reserve Old Rum is. The Old Rum is
a sublime sipping rum, a superior sip-
ping spirit.” Gosling’s Brothers Ltd. is
