, Fred Tibbitts & Associates’ 17

annual
"A Spring Evening in New York with Special Friends"
took place at the Met-Life Building Vanderbilt Suites.
The reception’s sponsors included Phillips Foods,
Strassburger Meats, Fiji Water, Trinchero Family Es-
tates, Anheuser-Busch, E&J Gallo Winery, Gerard
Bertand Wines and The Zamoras Americas, among
others. A portion of dinner proceeds went to UNICEF.

GALA KICKS OFF JAPAN WEEK
AT GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL
Japan Week, a three-day festival to spur tourism to
Japan, kicked off at Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall
on March 19
th
with a formalization of the first-ever
sister station relationship between Grand Central
Terminal and Tokyo station. The festival featured lo-
cal Japanese restaurants’ “ekiben” bento boxes, a
“pop-up” saké bar and more engaging activities.

ANNUAL WOMEN & WINE LUNCHEON
On March 4
th
, Esporao Wines of Portugal held the
Third Annual NYC Women & Wine Luncheon at Rob-
ert Restaurant at the Museum of Art & Design, with
a menu designed by Portuguese chef Luisa Fer-
nandes. The event, which appropriately took place
during Women’s History Month, was hosted by Her-
dade do Esporão winemaker Sandra Alves.
