LVMH ESTATES & WINES
Moët Hennessy Wines & Spirits has ap-
pointed
Jean-Guillaume Prats
as incom-
ing CEO of the Estates & Wines divi-
sion, effective in February 2013. For the
first four months,
he transition into
the role alongside
Estates & Wine
CEO and Presi-
dent Xavier Yba-
rgüengoitia, who
is set to retire in
May 2013. Prats
will be based in
Paris and sit on the board of the LVMH
Comité Opérationnel. Prior to his ap-
pointment, Prats was managing director
for Cos d’Estournel and chairman of the
board of Domaines Reybier.
BROWN-FORMAN
Brown-Forman has made changes to
its leadership team. The Chief Mar-
keting Officer position is transforming
into the Chief Brands Officer, and as
of January 1st, 2013, this role will be
taken by
Lawson Whiting
,
current
SVP of Brown-Forman International.
He succeeds John K. “Kris” Sirchio who
is departing at the
end of this year. In
other changes for
the U.S. market,

will be EVP,
President for Eu-

SERALLÉS USA
Serrallés USA has added to its sales
force, naming
Greg Ellison
as direc-
tor of national off-premise chains. He
brings more than 20 years of spirits,
wine and con-
sumer products
direct sale and
distribution ex-
perience,
and
he will lead the
company’s brand
lines including
Don Q, Black-
beard Spiced Rum, Caliche, Palo
Viejo and Death’s Door Spirits port-
folio’s presence through high-volume
national retailers. Previously, Ellison
was with Prestige Wine Imports, most
recently as western division director of
chains and national accounts, over-
seeing five regional managers and one
market manager.
MONTES
Montes U.S.A. has appointed Chilean
native
Salome Miller
as brand manag-
er. Montes U.S.A. is the North Amer-
ican arm of Viña Montes. In her new
role, Miller manages representation of
all Montes U.S.A. brands throughout
the U.S. including coordination of ed-
ucational, marketing and public rela-
tions efforts. Prior to joining Montes,
Miller worked in the marketing divi-
sion at the brand’s California distribu-
tor, Titan Wines and Spirits. Montes
wines are imported into all 50 states
through TGIC Importers. She is a cer-
tified wine specialist, with accolades
from WSET and
the Society of
Wine Educators
and has begun
to study with the
Court of Master
Sommeliers.
