Anheuser-Busch has an-
nounced the departure of
Goose Island Beer Compa-
ny founder and CEO John
Hall, who built the small
company into a leading
craft brewery now owned
by Anheuser-Busch. Hall’s
successor as CEO is
Andy
Goeler
,
a 30 year veteran
of Anheuser-Busch, who
most recently served as VP
of import, craft and spe-
cialty brands. Goeler has
worked with Goose Island
for the past year, help-
ing with brand expansion
and his tenure as CEO
begins January 1st, 2013.
Anheuser-Busch purchased
Goose Island in 2011. Hall
and departing COO Tony
Bowker will form part of
an “Anheuser Busch Craft
Advisory Board.”
NJ restaurant Assoc.
The New Jersey Restaurant
Association (NJRA) has
announced the hiring of
Marilou Halvorsen
as the
new President of the Tren-
ton-based organization.
Halvorsen previously was
Director of Marketing of Jen-
kinson’s Boardwalk, Point
Pleasant Beach & Casino
Pier in Seaside Heights, NJ.
She was chosen from numer-
ous candidates to lead the
NJRA which represents the
Garden State’s 25,000 eating
and drinking establishments,
employing over 311,000 resi-
dents and generates annual
sales of $14 billion.
Halvorsen will oversee
and support many of the
important programs creat-
ed by her predecessor and
focus on increasing mem-
bership value.
